Hari nie dah berjaya menghabiskan buku kedua untuk tahun
ini. Buku nie dah dibeli pada hujung tahun lepas tapi baru sekarang ada masa
nak baca. Bak kata orang kampung saya, “Better late than never”. Ahaks…
Kali nie novel daripada Cecelia Ahern called The Time of My
Life. Maybe uolls semua familiar dengan writer nie sebab salah satu novel dia sangat famous sampaikan
diadaptasi ke layar lebar. Sapa tau citer P.S., I Love You? Yang Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler berlakon
tue? Hah, dah ingat dah? Ha citer tu la… Cerita asal adalah daripada novel
nukilan Cecelia Ahern iaitu P.S., I Love You.
Author : Cecelia Ahern |
But personally saya sendiri pun tak pernah baca pun novel yang tu. Kiranya this is my 1st experience baca buku daripada Cecelia Ahern nie.
Nie serba sedikit sinopsis buku The Time of My Life :
…..Lying on Lucy Silchester’s
carpet one day when she returns from work is a gold envelope. Inside is an
invitation – to a meeting with Life. Her life. It turns out she's been ignoring
it and it needs to meet with her face to face.It sounds peculiar, but Lucy’s
read about this in a magazine. Anyway, she can’t make the date: she’s much too
busy despising her job, skipping out on her friends friends and avoiding her
family. But Lucy’s life isn’t what it seems. Some of the choices she’s made –
and stories she’s told – aren’t what they seem either. From the moment she
meets the man who introduces himself as her life, her stubborn half-truths are
going to be revealed in all their glory – unless Lucy learns to tell the truth
about what really matters to her. Lucy Silchester has an appointment with her
life – and she’s going to have to keep it….
Sangat seronok baca buku ini sebab macam boleh relate dengan kehidupan kita yang sebenar. Kalau uolls nak tau kenalah baca buku nie sendiri. Some points yang saya rasa sangat berguna dari buku nie untuk saya adalah :
1. Don’t live in the past. You have to move on…
2. Two wrongs don’t make a right....
3. Makes ourself happy happy 1st, then brings
happiness others
I have another book by Cecelia Ahern and it is called The
Gift. Can’t wait to start reading (God knows when).
Have a wonderful day people!!!
