Bandar yang menjadi persinggahan seterusnya adalah Newcastle. Sampai Newcastle agak lewat jugak lebih kurang pukul 9pm lebih. Sekarang tengah summer kan so pukul 9 pun masih terang lagi. Mudahlah la sikit nak bawa budak berdua tue. Check-in di Travelodge Gateshed dan esoknya barulah kami berjalan-jalan di bandar Newcastle.
Destinasi pertama tentunya ke St James' Park Stadium which is home to Newcastle United Football Club. It is the largest and oldest football stadium in North East of England and the sixth largest in UK. Jalan-jalan sekitar luar stadium, chamwhoring sikit-sikit and beli souvenirs. Then terus ke city centre untuk cari makan. Perut sudah lapar.
Park kereta dekat dengan Eldon Square Shopping Centre. From here boleh jalan kaki to some of tourist attractions di Newcastle nie. Antara yang menarik adalah Newcastle Civic Centre, Northumbia University, New Castle University, dan lain-lain. Besides that banyak jugak cathedrals, columns, statues yang kami jumpa sepanjang berjalan-jalan di sini.
Satu lagi tempat wajib yang harus dilawati adalah Gateshed Millennium Bridge. Bridge nie kira macam landmark yang kita berada di Newcastle. Gateshead Millennium Bridge – or the ‘winking eye’ as it is sometimes called – is the world's first tilting bridge. Situated on the banks of the River Tyne, linking Newcastle Quayside and Gateshead Quays, it has won a multitude of awards not least the country's top architecture prize (Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Stirling Prize), since opening in 2004.
