Tengah hari ni macam malas nak masak nasi sebab dah tak tahu nak masak lauk apa. Selalu ulang-ulang lauk yang sama je. Kalau tak kari, sambal tumis. Kalau tak sambal tumis buat sup. Kalau tak sup, masak lemak cili padi. Tukang masak pun macam dah bosan dengan menu yang sama.
Tu yang nak cuba makanan mat salleh hari ini. Surf internet sikit and cari resepi yang mudah-mudah je. Kata beginnerkan so haruslah mulakan dengan yang mudah dulu. So hari ini saya mencuba Creamy Chicken and Mushroom Pasta.
Creamy Chicken and Mushroom Pasta Recipe
500g dried pasta of choice
3 skinless chicken breasts, diced
4 field mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup diced red cupsicum
1 1/2 cup low-fat mayonnaise
3/4 cup skim milk
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons minced fresh basil
1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Method
1. Coat a large saucepan with olive oil cooking spray
2. Add chicken and sauteed over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until chicken is golden brown and cooked through
3. Remove chicken from pan and set aside
4. Rinse pan and recoat with cooking spray. Add mushrooms and red pepper and sauteed until tender
5. Combine mayonnaise, milk, parmesan cheese, basil, pepper and paprika in a small bowl
6. Add mayonnaise mixture to the vegetables in the pan, then add the cooked chicken
7. Stir contantly, and cook over medium-low heat until thoroughly heated
8. Cook pasta until al dente, drain and return pasta to the pot
9. Add the contents of the pan to the pot and mix well
10. Serve immediately with fresh Romano or parmesan cheese
